Newark Airport

Looking for somewhere very close to Newark Airport where I can grab a bite of dinner.

I've stayed at the airport Holiday Inn several times and imo the entire area is a wasteland that you should avoid if remotely possible. Once my room had a view of a prison yard, I could hear the prison intercom system and watch inmates exercising in the snow.

You have to be clear of the wasteland. Places like the Ironbound and Elizabeth are filled with good food but they're at least fifteen, maybe twenty minutes away. We've had huge threads about the food in either of those places.

I doubt the airport hotels have better food than the terminals.

We need more help here! Very close by public transit? By car? Sit down dinner? Take out?

Hotel nearby that has a nice restaurant is probably my 1st choice, don't want to travel too far away from the airport.
