Are real tomatoes available in DTW?

Doesn't matter what time of the year - I can't find real tomatoes. Not even in Leamington in August. Tried $5.00/lb heirlooms - but they were hollow/tried out.

I've found some excellent tomatoes at Eastern Market and the Royal Oak Farmers Market late in the summer.
