Where is awesome BACON in Washington DC?

Hey there guys. So I am looking to do a BACON related event and I am looking for the best bacon in the district. It can be BLTs, bacon cheeseburgers, chocolate covered bacon, etc.

I have a list of restaurants I am already going to contact but I wanted to hear if anyone has any suggestions I hadn't thought of. Because of the nature of the event I need restaurants with amazing bacon not farms.

Who knows bacon best in DC?

  1. For regular bacon strips, Founding Farmers (nice thick-cut slices, and you can choose from a few different flavors).

I also love the bacon burger at Boundary Stone, which comes with bacon jam, and the twice-cooked pork belly at Great Wall.

    1. Restaurant 3 in Arlington does bacon-related events and has a special bacon menu, but I do not know if this is offered regularly. I have never been.

I have been to the bacon week at 3. i wasn't impressed at all - the bacon bloody mary was ok, but I thought the rest of the food was pretty bad.

I had a bacon cheeseburger at 3. The bacon was almost flavorless.

I was not impressed, and I'd say its not worth the trip there for the bacon.

        2. the bacon at liberty tavern (as well as northside social and lyon hall) is incredible. very smoky and savory.

bayou bakery in arlington has benton's bacon biscuits. and 'porkorn' - bacon kettlecorn.

          1. I recall reading a while ago on here that Eola offered a "bacon flight" during brunch - where yu coudl taste different kinds of bacon. I've never been though, so can't comment.

I have done the bacon flights at Eola and they were incredible. Unfortunately they are no longer doing them which is a terrible disappointment.

Eola has really great food, but man I loved that bacon.

            2. $10 House-made bacon appetizer at BLT Steak.

Together with the popover that they put out for their "bread" . . . . .unreal . . . .
