Meh. Will continue to shop at Fresh Market when I'm down there. That new State Store across the street is convenient as PA goes.

      2. I wonder if the parking lot will be sufficient. Sure, it was fine for Genuardi's, but WF will generate a LOT more business.

        1. there are ,,,,,,ongoing rumors......that a Costco might also settle in the region...........and lots of talk about Wegmans over the years, but I can't see that now that WF is opening. I'm not a big "prepared food" sort of fan.......but would like some decent bacon, sausage (like Linguica), pastry and cheeses...........we'll see if WF fits the bill

Have you checked Wegmans for those specialty items? And Talula's has an outstanding cheese selection. If they don't have what you're looking for, chances are they can get it for you.

Speaking of Talula's (i.e. Table), it looks like the prepared food section in the back took a dive since our last visit there prior to Aimee focusing her efforts on the Garden. Only a few prepared items and vegetables to choose from, all of which were meh tasting and were pricy. The cheese selection is still great as it always was. But then again, so are the pretty looking but bland tasting pastries (in a similar vein of Whole Foods IMO).

I have to admit, I rarely go to TT for prepared foods to go, and I don't know how the (daytime) kitchen has changed over the last year or so. I think Clair Shears is still pastry chef there, and she's been there for quite some time. Their cheese selection is, and has always been, truly great; we brought a bottle of wine in last Sunday afternoon and they paired a wonderful cheese plate for us to have with it.
