143 Mott:

I drive across canal street every morning and on certain days when I give in, i make the right up Mulberry, the right on Grand, then the right on Mott.. In this tiny little store front there is some very nice things happening.. Things are made in house through out the day.. The ingredients and quality is better than most.

I usually grab the dumplings which are considerably more expensive than the dollar dumpling places.. However, the are worlds apart in quality. Skin is perfect, they are filled fat with pork.. They are just amazing dumplings..

I was there this morning around 715 when they were pulling sesame balls filled with bean paste out of the fryer. These were so damn good.

The people are nice, it's on the pricey side for the genre but, not for food in general.. And especially not for well done, high quality and hand made food..

Wasn't aware these guys did dumplings. Will try. I always get either the pumpkin or the big combo buns - 4 to go per container. Yeah, these guys are good.

More importantly, though, you mean to say you manage to snag a street spot on Mott Street? Kudos. You're a better man than I.
