San Diego foodie sites other than Chowhound [moved from San Diego board]

Lot's of great local sites. Can I get I few of the one's that you follow? I'm not looking for a " best of", just the sites that you like and trust.

  1. I think Chowhound has a "don't promote other sites" rule, so you may not see any answers last very long...

I appreciate that,. It's something I didn't know. At the risk of an issue, I'll pitch mmm yuso, and a great international site " the traveling hungryboy". Go on, banish me to a food site that no one can find....

Still giggling at the nerve :-) C'mon you know it isn't cool to come here and ask for other sites to accomodate you if you cant find what you want here.

        Google is your friend ..

    2. Try and (which has also a California board but otherwise isn't really local)

Honkman messed up the URL. You will see expanded discussion there of topics that go a bit beyond the Chowhound charter, but often it can be pretty quiet. Really, you will not find anything near the level of depth of Chowhound when it comes to San Diego.

It seems that the powers that be moved this to the media board but kept the thread active. Makes sense to me, I guess. :)

I agree and I appreciate the update. I know I can search for other blogs, but I do respect many of the posters here. Similar to visiting a restaurant based on a good review, I was curious to see what else everyone followed.

      1. Eater just launched Eater San Diego. It's not a board site like CH more of a chef and restaurant open/closing, whats going on site. I use it to keep in the loop and then CH for opinions on the restaurants

Just checked it. It's off to a good start. I can think of several CH San Diego board members who should apply for the editor job for their SD board.
