warping MultiClad Pro pan

I have some how managed to warp 3 MCP 12" skillets in the last 2yrs. The 1st and 2nd one may have been my fault due to washing it right after using it and not giving it time to cool down. When i got the 3rd one i checked to make sure it lay flat and i don't use it above the number 7 on my flat top eletric range. If anyone has any suggestions on how to not have this happen again or a brand that is more resistant to warping it would be apprecaited.

Do you deglaze with a bit of water while the pan is still hot? That usually helps clean and cool down the pan before I bring it to the sink.

Wow. 3 pans. I don't know what to say. I thought MultiClad should be relatively good.

Multiclad pro is very good. I have had the 12 piece set for the past 3 1/2 years. Nothing is warped.

If a pan is hot i only put in a minute amount of water to start cooling it down--and lifting up some of the fond to make it easier to clean--before I clean it.

Have you contacted Cuisinart? They have a lifetime guarantee and may be able to help. I believe you have to foot the bill for postage though. I have personally warped a couple of aluminum pans over the years and discovered the exposed heating coils heating unevenly as they age. I've not had experience with smooth tops. This could be the problem: uneven heating of the pan with one area getting hotter than another. I would hope that the triply would be stout enough to handle the unevenness but maybe not. Hopefully someone here will be able to shed some light on this and be more helpful.

thank you both for your replies. I tried contacting Cuisinart after the first one and nobody got back to me. I'll try again and see what happens.

            Try this email: mary_rodgers@conair.com

She does their videos and seems to run things. I would also email customer service and cc mary rodgers. Bound to get some sort of reply.

Try 5 instead of 7 (assuming a scale from 1 to 10), or maybe even 3 or 4.

Don't put it in water until it cools down.
