Vietnam: Off the Beaten Path?
Greetings from NYC!
I am planning a month in April to travel in VN, and I would appreciate your input. This is my first trip to VN, and while I am planning to visit some of usual spots, I tend to enjoy the experience of more remote/less common destination. I can be fairly independent and adventurous, and have enjoyed hiking through remote villages in the Andes for example, and found the experience soulfully satisfying both in regards to interaction with people, and, most importantly, FOOD and the MARKETS...
Any advise? Any destinations that you've been that fits the description?
Also, suggestions for great French restaurants in usual destinations would be appreciated too as our last trip to southern France continues to keep us hungry for good French food which is hard to find in NYC.
