Chipotle ad promoting humane farming practices

Did anyone catch the Chipolte ad that ran during the Grammy's last night? It was an animated spot showing the abuse of factory farm raised animals and the impact on our health and enviroment. It is set to Willie Nelson cover of Coldplay's "The Scientist". It is a pretty moving and powerful piece promoting sustainable and humane farming practices.
I googled to find a link to the ad and learned that it was actually released last summer in movie theaters but debuted on tv for the first time last night The link follows for anyone interested in the subject.

  1. A local food blogger just did a post on this and provided the link. It's a great ad, and very moving too. Props to Chipotle.

i know, that kinda drives me crazy too. and i've heard chefs, even, say it wrong, even when it's spelled correctly!

but i did see that commercial in a movie theater last year and thought it was great, although at first it irked me that chipotle - a fast food restaurant - was touting itself as a locally sourced, sustainable food purveyor. but apparently i was wrong... if only their food tasted good!

      2. I was having a conversation when it was on but this commercial completely caught my eye. It's the best one I've seen in ages. And I don't like Chipotle! (By the way, EM23, it's "Chipotle", not "Chipolte.")

Ah! Thanks for the clarification Woodley. Bad on me for the misspelling - sorry to get the other folks worked up over this. Never mind the animal abuse addressed in the ad.

I just thought it funny that there was a big thread about TV personalities mispronouncing this, and there was a misspelling right here on Chowhound (even if you know better). :) Spell checkers save me from most misspellings, but I still find typos to correct in my own posts.

well, i did talk about the ad too....

          2. I thought that it was a great commercial and I've never eaten there.
