Foodie V-Day destination?
Hey
I'm looking for a restaurant to go to tomorrow with my boyfriend. We like interesting/exotic/authentic places, willing to travel (we're in Brooklyn, but don't mind any borough. Except Staten Island, maybe). We mostly like (SE) Asian food, but also love Ethiopian and Middle Eastern and pretty much everything. Just looking for a delicious, interesting experience, something out of the ordinary.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

We don't have many rules but we never go to a "nice" restaurant on Valentine Day or Mother's day. The restaurants are usually crowded and offer a limited menu. Your gal or mom may get a rose but the food is going to be sub par. Not necessarily bad but not as good as usual.
That being said: For excellent Middle Easter food try Tanoreen or George and Sally in Bay ridge. Tripoli on Atlantic Ave is also very good.›2 Replies -

Not meaning to sound snarkey but, you are looking for a V-Day reservation on the 13th? You will likely end up in a small hol ein the wall spot, not that your meal cant be great but also is a big risk. I would suggest you try Klimat in the LES. Fantastick eastern european food.
