Looking to discover TriBeCa restaurants

m
mboxermd Feb 12, 2012 08:05 AM

Looking for all cuisines with variety of price ranges just want to get to know the restaurant scene in the neighborhood. The only place we have been to so far is Tamarind TriBeCa. We have a reservation for Trattoria Cinque next weekend. Thanks

We enjoyed the restaurant but the waiter made multiple mistakes on the check - charged us for an appetizer never ordered and charged us more for the wine than what was stated on the menu - he made the corrections and when I rechecked the bill he added an addititional entree that was never ordered - otherwise all was good.

                - Locanda Verde

                - Sushi Azabu
                - Takahachi
                - David Burke Kitchen (considered Soho, but walking distance from Tribeca)

I like that you're not giving the same old same old standards. I'd love to discover a new place. What do you enjoy at Industria Argentina?

I think Industria Argentina has closed. The signs indicate it may be for "renovations", but I wouldn't be surprised if it were down for the count.

For beer, micro brews and a good sandwich I reccomend the Tribecca TapHouse. The grilled cheese with gouda and short ribs, the bratwurst, gruyere and saukruat, and a good ole burger are great.

Wow, Miss Needle, I was just talking about Takahachi Bakery. I like the chestnut pastry there.
I've even had really good sandwiches there. It is same owner as Takahachi sushi , they do a good job. Also, Angelo recommended TapHouse, that short rib sandwich with melted gouda is amazing.
