Looking to discover TriBeCa restaurants
Looking for all cuisines with variety of price ranges just want to get to know the restaurant scene in the neighborhood. The only place we have been to so far is Tamarind TriBeCa. We have a reservation for Trattoria Cinque next weekend. Thanks

re: Miss Needle
Wow, Miss Needle, I was just talking about Takahachi Bakery. I like the chestnut pastry there.
I've even had really good sandwiches there. It is same owner as Takahachi sushi , they do a good job. Also, Angelo recommended TapHouse, that short rib sandwich with melted gouda is amazing.

re: briarrose
Good One briarroseL Tiny's is a good one and little known.
Sgordon;s list is a thorough one, but I would put Nobu Next Door as high end $100 a head approximately same as Nobu.
my recs that I don't think were mentioned ( if they were I apologize) are: Ristorante Aglio (excellent Italian food), Greenwich Grill ( italian japanesish), Lotus Blue ( Yunnan food), Capsouto Freres,(quaint location) Turks and Frogs, Kori (great Korean), Mike's Papaya closed , Tamarind (Fancy indian but inconsistent), Thalassos ( greek fish), Accapella ( oldschool italian), Ninja ( crazy stuff goes on there), Megu ( beautiful place), Tribeca Tap House was mentioned but the short rib sandwich with gruyere is awesome), Walker's ( best burgers),, Le Plein Sud ( great flat bread dishes) nice place. great toilets), Raccoon Lodge for raunchiness and a punching bag,
Pecan ( for a cup of coffee), Viet Cafe ( good vegetarian crabcakes ), Tres Sorelles ( good pizza reasonable food), Sazon ( Puerto Rican food), SuperLinda (Latin , just opened, i havent tried it yet ),
I wonder if you enjoyed Cinque they have some good dishes , and the room is really nice ( the old Toon's)-----

re: foodwhisperer
We enjoyed the restaurant but the waiter made multiple mistakes on the check - charged us for an appetizer never ordered and charged us more for the wine than what was stated on the menu - he made the corrections and when I rechecked the bill he added an addititional entree that was never ordered - otherwise all was good.
