Any ideas?

Any other info you can provide would be a BIG help...e.g., price point, upscale vs casual, BYO, etc.

You may want to look at Blue Morel at the hotel on Whippany Road in Morristown formerly known as the Gov. Morris Inn.

The restaurant used to be called Copeland.

        ok. have you eaten there?

Il Capriccio is upscale Italian, all of a mile from Cedar Knolls in Whippany. The food continues to get raves after decades in business. *I* haven't eaten there in years, but I remember loving it the last time I did; maybe others can chime in.
Far more casual (and BYO) is Il Vilaggio, about a mile up Rt 10 in the other direction in Parsippany. Standard Italian fare done well, imo.

Somewhere in the middle (cost-wise) is Grato, which is also Italian. And I'd trust a rec from Scarlet Knight, so check out Blue Morel too!

I'm betting it will be too high too, but see what they come up w/for a group. If not, Il Villagio is certainly reasonable (and BYO will help keep the cost down).
