Good fish & chips downtown - does it exist? (Damn you Fresh, Local Wild!)

Now that Fresh, Local, Wild is closed until spring I have no where to get GOOD fish & chips downtown! Maybe a pub downtown? Any suggestions?

I second "Go Fish". It's off Granville Island. Once you head south off Granville Island turn right before the culinary school and walk 2 undulations of the pedestrian/bike path to this outdoor stall with seating (& heating lamp). It's closed Mondays, but otherwise 11:30am-6:30pm. The Aquabus at the bottom of Hornby St or the False Creek Ferries behind the Aquatic Centree at the bottom of Thurlow gets you to Granville Island in 2 minutes. Go Fish uses all fish and seafood from the docks right beside。

Thanks, will give Feastro a shot. It's close to my office downtown.

Yaletown Brewing makes an acceptable F&C. Bonus there is a superb IPA to wash it down with.

You could jump on the False Creek ferry and go to Go Fish right near Granville Is. Decent F&C and a sea voyage all in on trip. http://www.granvilleislandferries.bc....

Or Tony's Fish & Oyster Cafe right at the entrance of Granville Island (west of GI Brewing Co).

Mr. Pickwick's and -Lovers F&C, both on Denman around Nelson or Comox. Of the two, go for Mr. Pickwick's.

There's a C-Lovers at 1061 Denman now. No idea if it is any good though.

Urbanspoon reviews of C-Lovers don't sound too promising.

In fact, the Denman location also seems to be gone now too. But there are 5 others in the Lower Mainland.

It looked like it was still there but not open when we drove by last Sunday lateish night but it was after 10 so I assumed it was just closed for the night, not forever.

It's not downtown by any means... but go to coney island fish and chips. located at east beach in white rock.

            well worth the trip
