Passover Candy Favors?

DaisyM Feb 10, 2012 10:00 AM

Any suggestions for a company that does passover candy that can be used as favors/placecards? I had found chocolate frogs several years ago, but can't seem to find them now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

In case you don't want to order them online and live in the NY area, I found boxes of the Zelda frogs and locusts in my local grocery Kosher store, Shop Smart, in Brooklyn. They may have them in other grocery stores as well.

Thanks for the Zelda's info - definitely going to order from them this year! i also order from the illinois nuts company every year - they have chocolate "four sons", chocolate "plagues", chocolate "frogs", chocolate "wild animals" - the kids look forward every year!

Zelda's in Skokie, Illinois does chocolate covered frogs (marshmallow filling, but mostly chocolate) and according to their website will have chocolate locusts. Another site that has candy for Passover that I have used is ohnuts.com. I have used them for dried fruits and chocolate covered nuts, but they carry quite a bit of Passover stuff. I was on the site a few days ago, but they didn't have their Passover stuff on the site yet, but you could sign up to be on their email list.

I'm not much of a marshmallow fan, but those frogs and locusts are adorable beyond belief. I'll have to see if I can get past my shock at the price before deciding if I can order. Cute as all get out, though.

And I seem to remember that they are green marshmallow filling. A few years ago, we gave our 3 year old niece the responsibility of passing them out to our guest when we talked about the frogs. It was a big hit and she was excited to be part of the surprise.

Those frogs are indeed adorable - thanks so much! HOWEVER check out the enlarged view of the locusts. They are rabbits with no resemblance to locusts which are similar to grasshoppers.....
