birthday dinner for mom? mid-city

we are looking for a nice restaurant to take my mom for her birthday, this sunday. near mid-city/hollywood/west-hollywood/beverly/3rd area.

we currently have reservations for Lucques' Sunday Supper, which seems like a great deal, but i wanted another option because some people in our group have already been there. we've also been to Eva for their sunday dinner.

thought about Hatfield's, but seems a bit out of our price range.

Haven't been....but I've heard good things about Ray's at LACMA. And as an added bonus....you could check out an exhibit.
