Lunch recommendations near Hartford - soft food needed

My bf and I will be going from Stratford to Windsor on Sunday for an appointment and looking for a lunch or bunch spot off of 91. I got my wisdom teeth out today so soft food is a must. Any must try spots? Thanks much

I always like the Chowder Pot for good seafood off the Brainard Rd exit. It's right there, can't miss it. I enjoy the Savin Rock Hot Lobster Roll. Just fresh lobster meat in melted butter on a hot dog roll. Both soft and delicious. A little bit off 91 if Max Amore in Glastonbury. More upscale than the Chowder Pot. Very nice brunch, right off of Rt 3.

Not on 91, but off exit 39A of 95 ( if you aren't taking the Merritt to 91) in Milford is a diner- I think it is called the Athenian, but we have always called it "The Shiny Diner"- their mashed potatoes are AWESOME

If a very good diner is of interest, I suggest the Town Line Diner off exit 24 / I-91. (left at first light going north, turning left again into the shopping center with yet another quick left). I normally stop for a steak sandwich, but they have a wide variety with excellent dessert choices.
