Whole Foods coming to Port Chester, and I rejoice!

I've heard rumors for a while now, but here's the incontrovertible proof: Whole Foods is coming to Port Chester. http://portchester.patch.com/articles...

I know there's been plenty of threads about the state of grocery shopping here; I know Whole Foods isn't for everyone, but honestly, I'm thrilled. The no-brainer guess is the A&P space on Route 1, by the Kohl's. But who knows?

That's great for the center east of the county - when are they going to realize there's $ to be had in Northern Westchester? Waah!

Yes, it is very disappointing that I have to drive to Danbury to get to Trader Joes and will also for Whole Foods (and even further for Fairway). Then they want to build a Costco in Yorktown, and some clueless folks say that we can do better here and that there's nothing wrong with having to drive a half hour to get to one of their other locations.

with the addition of white castle (formerly wendy's) right down the road I guess they even out a clearly established between the border of port chester and rye (respectively), no?

Hadn't heard about the White Castle - and now my husband is the happiest chap in all the land.

White Castle I have not heard about either! They are one of the few chains I will eat at. Just for the basic slider at least.

Any more recent info on White Castle? I contacted their corporate offices and got a very nice but very vague reply.
