Hi all-

Could you make a recommendation in Florence for lunch near Piazza della Signoria? Reasonably priced. Grazie mille!!!

Coquinarius is a great little enoteca in the area between the Duomo and Piazza Signoria. Otherwise there are some truly excellent places to get panini: 'Ino is probably your best bet, with gourmet ingredients and a place you can sit down. Il Cernacchino does great rolls stuffed with Florentine stews; Da Vinattieri is literally a hole in the wall with tripe as well as other sandwich type specialities like Coccoli (stuffed fried dough).

vini e vecchi sapori is located just off that piazza. Small place but excellent home-made food. Another is Antico Fattore on a small street right next to the Uffizi - try their gnocchi in black truffle sauce. Search this board for fuller reviews or comments on both places
