Yorkville for Valentine's Day Suggestions?

Hey Chowhounders, I'm currently researching which restaurant I should take my date on during V-day in the Yorkville area. Personally I have somewhat high standards of food and it either taste very good, or very rubbish, and i don't really wanna settle for just OK. I'm kinda looking for something that will really spark my taste buds and I'm kinda looking at "One" restaurant at the Hazelton hotel because I've had excellent experiences before at "One" and "Fabbrica". The only thing that kinda bugs me about "One" though is that they use a lot of exotic spices in their side dishes which I don't know if my date will like.

So I'm open to any suggestions that you guys might have and if you could provide any dishes that you highly recommend, we won't be drinking wine and it doesn't necessarily have to be in the Yorkville area but within at least close proximity. The interior I prefer something like "One" where it's a bit more spacious and modern.

-I wanna avoid Cafe Nervosa because majority of they're waiters/waitresses are snobby as hell, and because of that, service is not very attentive, and the food itself is too many times a hit or a miss.

-Hell No to Origin.....they're food is just...crap, service is crap, if you want that kinda food you're better off at Lee's (and they're kinda so so too)

-No chinese food (because we're both of chinese descent) but on another note Dynasty is pretty good for Chinese food DT, well at least better than Crown Princess by a decent margin

-Yamoto is ok too, but not really special in terms of atmosphere

So to break it down what I'm looking for is
-Attentive Service
-Beautiful Interior
-Food that will make you go WOW
-Spacious as I'll be carrying gifts
-Price is not a concern (unless we're talking Hashimoto prices LOL)
-Located somewhere DT
-Preferably a varied menu

Thanks a million in advance :)

Mistura or Pangaea may fit the bill. Mistura is a bit more tradition and Pangaea is a bit more modern. Both have attentive service and are spacious. The mains for each place will be between $35-$45.

The beet risotto at Mistura is often recommended.

old thread re: best dishes at Mistura: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/587146

Mistura has openings for 2 at 5, 5:15, 9:45 pm on www.opentable.com right now. Better book fast, if you want to book Mistura.

L'Unita's food is quite good, and has a few unpopular time slots available (9:45, 10) as I write this reply.

Il Posto isn't trendy, but its classic Italian food is good, especially considering the neighbourhood, and there are some decent time slots still available (6, 8, etc).

There's only a 5 pm time slot left at One right now.

Pangaea has more availability than the rest that have been mentioned. I've never been.

You're a little late. Every place you've described has been booked for weeks.
