Near Intercontinental Hotel

Have not been into the financial district lately. Any suggestions for a non-Asian cuisine restaurant near the (relatively) new Intercontinental hotel (maybe on the Broad Street area)? Many thanks.

nearby, on Washington St., Bina Osteria has had a lot of positive press as of late. Mediterranean, same owners as Lala Rokh and Bin 26 Enoteca (both Beacon Hill.). Devra First in the Globe gave it v good review.

Blue is close I believe, and has an interesting and not "cookie cutter" menu.

there's "blu", connected to the ritz complex on avery st., and "blue, inc." which is jason santos' place on broad st. molecular gastronomy kinda stuff.

there is also sel de la terre near the aquarium and les zygomates in the ladder district. sam's on the waterfront has a newish chef, reasonable prices and killer views.

are you looking for this weekend? valentine's madness everywhere.

I meant Blue Inc - don't care for "blu" at all.

bina is at least a 20-minute walk from the intercontinental. not bad if the weather is moderate but this weekend is bringing snow and super cold.

It is definitely not a 20 minute walk but not close either.

Pasta Beach is attached to the Boston Harbor Hotel, right next to the Intercontinental. It's obviously an awful name for a restaurant, but they serve really good Neapolitan style pizzas and homemade pastas.

Trade, Jody Adams' new restaurant, is a stone throw from the Intercontinental Hotel. There is a thread here about it if you search. It's a mix of small plates, flatbreads and a handful of select entrees.
