Tasty, veg-friendly, under 20/pp near Edgewater Casino?

Walking distance from the casino?

And a couple more clicks to Nuba on Hastings (about 1/2 the distance as Foundation)

Nuba over Foundation many many times over.

Too lazy to google but I think the Nuba on Seymour would be even closer. Love the garden falafel there paired with Najib cauliflower...

Equidistant, or a bit further - but it's a much smaller space.

Thanks for checking. It is much smaller but I've kinda always hated the basement-dark West Hastings space that Nuba now inhabits, and I've had a couple of pretty meh meals there to boot with lethargic service, so I stick to Seymour now.

Well Nuba doesn't do a killer veggie nachos platter like The Foundation does, and Foundation's Tight Spin Salad is to die for.

Two very different perspectives and executions on vegetarianism, so you don't need to compare the two.

Never been to Foundation, LR. Please tell us more about this Tight Spin. Always looking for interesting greens in this town of repetitive salads!

Foundation's Tight Spin salad comprise of spinach, goat cheese, sunflower seeds, pear and a mangoey-limey dressing. I sometimes ask for quinoa on top. It's a salad you either like it or you don't :-)

Another one I like is called Sesamum Salad (I like all things with sesame seeds).

If you're a fast walker, Nuba's within 10. Otherwise...Provence Marinaside perhaps? Might be a touch over @20 pp but they offer vegetarian platters for ~$20.

Subeez on Smithe is a little closer and has a pretty varied menu with good vegetarian options - ordering carefully will keep you under your price limit.
