Where to take mama...demands quiet, tablecloths, good food and tolerant servers, prefers Dupont Circle or Behesda
I have a VERY demanding 90 year old mom, enjoys contemporary food in a quiet setting. Suggestions and thoughts on Persimmons or Pesce?
Haven't been to Pesce in quite awhile but I always remember it being pretty good. Obviously she must be a fan of seafood, since that's all she has.
How about Darlington House? This will only work though if climbing steps is not an issue since she would need to go up a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. Still good, modern Italian and in a nice, quiet environment. It feels like you are dining in a friend's cool dining room.
New Heights is another good option. Recent write ups on the new chef have been good. In Bethesda Cedar can be quiet at times, not weekends, I forget if they have tablecloths though.
I haven't been to Persimmon in a while but it sounds as though it would be a good choice. Grapeseed might be ok too, but maybe a little louder?
