best Niçoise in town?

Noticed Weezie's and Coquine's Niçoise salads mentioned in an old thread. Which restaurant serves your favourite Niçoise? I'm happy with canned tuna or seared tuna.

Thanks for any suggestions.

My favorite was served at the Berkeley Cafe. Not sure if they serve it there or if the Berkeley Cafe even exists anymore but I enjoyed it when I worked in that neighbourhood. I don't mind the Nicoise at Chabichou either.

Also, kind of related, Sky Blue Sky makes a tuna nicoise sandwich that's actually really good.

      Another vote for Weezie's.

On the other side of the tracks, they don't come any fresher than the Nicoise at Diana's Oyster Bar & Grill.

An "authentic" nicoise would not have any cooked veggies, which lets out potatoes and green beans.

The "authentic" version of Salade Nicoise is also less than exciting. This may explain why, other than a Wikipedia definition of it, you'd be hard-pressed to find a recipe without green beans. Of those, many have potatoes.

Wow, we're a healthy bunch, eh!

A friend had the Nicoise at Le Societe last weekend and while I don't think it was the BEST she did claim to enjoy it.

I love the one at Jacques Bistro du Parc.
