Looking for special peanutty bars recipe
Wife of a guy my hubby works with sells them so she won't share the recipe. It is a layered bar cookie. The bottom layer is an oatmeal base. The top layer is definitely melted chips, sprinkled with chopped peanuts. It is the middle layer that makes it interesting. It tastes like a butterfinger candbar filing but it's made with rice crispies and peanut butter but it is quite light. It's almost like rice krispie squares but not as dry, and sweeter maybe corn syrup in there?
If anyone knows of this bar, I would love the recipe.
Thanks for your help.
I just wanted to clarify that the middle layer is not loaded with crisped rice, like a regular krispie treat, it has just a few in there, it is mostly a chewy, airy toffee type middle. Oh I wish I was better at describing it. My son said when you bite into the middle, it has the texture of pieces of those crosshatched sugar wafers chopped up in it. It almost tastes like those to, but it is buttery/peanut buttery/gooey- but not too much, not wet.

Peanut Butter-Chocolate-Oatmeal (Rice Krispie) Cereal Bars
The name of this bar cookie says it all. Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Oatmeal, and Cereal-- what's not to love? After a short toast in the oven, the ingredients for this snack or dessert recipe come together in the microwave, then cool for about 45 minutes.
