"Tonkotsu Ramen and Curry House" - is it open yet?

baronworm Feb 6, 2012 07:59 AM

Back in December it was supposedly "coming soon" to NE Mineapoils - Central/26th area.

I haven't yet managed to drive over that way to check, but the apparent lack of a website or facebook page makes me assume it's not open yet.

A Japanese friend is visiting until Friday, I'd love to take him here if it's open and good...

Can anyone offer any fresh info on this, our first Minneapolis ramen shop?

It is not. The storefront in which it is supposed to be going looks undisturbed.

Obento-Ya, Zen Box & Masu are nearby and have ramen (Obento-Ya only on Mondays as a special, but worth it).

Tanpopo & UniDeli also serve competent ramen but are a bit farther out.

Tanpopo typically only has ramen on Mondays (pork ramen).

Take your friend to Masu, it will not disappoint.

Zen Box is pretty good, by far the best according to all my Japanese friends and they seems to have a lots of asian go there(which is a good sign) for any asian restaurant.
