Cafe Pushkin NY will look like this [now called Brasserie Pushkin]

1. I was walking down the street and peeked into the interior of Cafe Pushkin on 57th Street.

2. Newly-opened Lillie's Midtown has awsome ambiance.

The restaurant ended up being called Brasserie Pushkin. It's now open. Menu here: http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/8505...

    Holy crap, it's not cheap.

$18 borscht! That's 18x what I pay every weekend for my favorite borscht at Streecha!
(But I guess at Pushkin it won't be served in a styrofoam cup...)

Have to disagree on Lillie's. It actually makes me like the Union Square location less. It feels so overdone, like it belongs in Vegas.

New York gotta have a little slice of Vegas too. It's New York after all!

i hope Cafe Pushkin is good -- i'm kind of tired of all the other Russian options in Manhattan these days...
