Hispanic Grocery Store Greenville SC SUPER CLEAN and HUGE!

  • 2

I just came back from a visit to La Unica on White Rd and Hwy 253. Near the OLD WALMART It is a super clean and a huge store for our area. There are several small La Unicas around the area this one is the mother ship. The prices are great and the products are up to date.

The Veg and fruit area was rather extensive from what I have seen also there are plenty of English speaking people to help you out.

The meat area was really nice and the butchers and fish mongers were very helpful. Mexican short ribs are cut differently than we are use to and they explained that they would love to cut them anyway i wanted. The prices on everything seemed better than Publix or Bi Lo.

They have many types of whole pigs in the back and I felt they were WAY TO EXPENSIVE but I guess you can't have it all.

There was a small restaurant at the front and everyone said the food was great. They were making Tortillas in the back hot and fresh.

We must have 20+ Hispanic Markets in the Greenville Area and I felt this is the best and safest. I would not have a problem with my elderly English only mother going there to shop.

This group seems to be very customer service orentied and I have to say I may make it part of my weekly shopping.

    1. Thanks for the tip, I've been looking for a good market to get meat for carne asada. Used to go to a great market in Pontiac Michigan. I'm putting a website together called www.lovegreenville.com and this would be a great addition.
