Restaurant Week disappointment

Went to Cesca for dinner. A neighborhood place we have been meaning to try. The room is lovely, we were seated right away. Had to ask for the RW menu as did neighboring tables of people. The RW menu was rather boring, tried the soup, which was a tiny portion about 2- 3 ounces max. Risotto was okay, we saw 1 piece of calamari, could not identify any other seafood, fish was about a 2 inch square. It was way over peppered. Desserts were the highlight, a wonderful lemon tart and fruit. Service was very good. Because the RW menu and the RW week is supposed to introduce you to restaurants cesca failed in that it didn't provide a very good first impression.

this place always seemed too expensive for neighborhood italian. now that we have Cotta, Caffe Storico (which we're trying soon), and the soon to open Joanne, Cesca may need to refresh their menu and costs.
