fried chicken near essex, morris, or passaic county

I am looking for good fried chicken. I do not care if it comes from a gas station or a four star restaurant just really good fried chicken, anyone have any suggestions?

Consider BBQ Chicken in Fort Lee or Cliffside Park......Korean Fried Chicken ....deep fried in Olive Oil

I know this might sound like a weird place where you would find great fried chicken but the Foodtown in Cedar Grove on Pomton Ave ( Rt .23) has some the best I've ever had.

Not weird at all.....in fact I believe you can find great food in many surprising individual locations amongst chains/markets, the ShopRite in Paramus does a very good job as well...right out of the fryer the chicken is very good. It's also a great deal when they have it on sale ...2 eight piece portions for $9.99...regularly $7.99 for one. In the cold food prepared case you can get 4 legs and 4 thighs for 4.99 everyday.

I second this. Note this is not the chain Church's Fried Chicken, but a family run place. Also: takeout only, call ahead or be prepared to wait, as the chicken is fried to order.
