Nice celebration dinner with grandparents and 8 year old

We'd like to take our 8 year old with us for a special occasion dinner with my parents. Most of us are pretty adventurous eaters, but 8 year old is picky. Looking for somewhere nice (table cloths, etc.), but neither too stuffy nor too noisy. We'd like the adults to be able to have interesting food, while having some plainer options or a kid's menu available. Suggestions?

Do you have a neighbourhood and budget in mind?

Around $50-$60 per adult is fine, plus we we'll probably get a bottle of wine if it's not outrageous. In terms of neighbourhoods, downtown or east end would be better, or mid-town along Yonge Street. Just not too far west. One other thing - we may want to go on a Sunday - I know that can limit options.
