Anyone eaten at Da Soli in Haddonfield yet?
While, this wasn't the most sophisticated menu in the South Jersey Italian restaurant universe, we thought it was pretty good. Our favorite is Sapori and this will not replace it in our pantheon. Zeppoli is just too darned noisy for us to consider again unless we find ourselves in the area on a non-weekend night, although their menu is interesting.
I was looking forward to the artichokes, but while tasty, this was not the Roman thinly sliced crispy dish I used to get at Toscana Cucina Rustica in Bryn Mawr. They were sliced too thick for my taste and I think they were sauted rather than deep fried.
Our entrees were both good, a special of lamb loin done rare as requested with sauted zuccini and yellow squash and stuffed pork tenderloin stuffed with mozzarella and served with a side of decently prepared, ie: not bitter, brocoli rabe. Truth be told, the mozzarella didn't really add anything to the dish.
For dessert, we shared homemade chocolate ice cream which was really flavorful and properly made espresso.
Service was extremely attentive, in spite of being very crowded.
