Cincinnati: New Chili-Diner on eastside 125 - Eastside Chili

Hi Cincinnati people who eat food!

A friend recommended a new chili hall / diner, and I went and had their Ruben sandwich, which was very good!

The place is

Eastside Chili
671 Ohio Pike
Cincinnati, OH 45245-4129
(513) 752-6789 ‎

I liked that the meat and sauerkraut was all fried together, and the cheese, dressing and rye toast (also grilled), were in good proportion. Not as much corned beef as a Ruben from Izzy's, but perhaps more flavor! ^L^

My friend and I went to the new kid on the block on the Eastside of Cincy Fat Timmys Eastside Chili ,and I can assure you all, these guys got it going on with the Double Deckers , I got the Ham and Turkey and it blows CW and the rest out of the water , the first thing I noticed and ask about was the turkey was like the best , the waitress informed us these guys bake off everthing fresh every day , ( No prossed meat peroid) , Jimmy got the BLT DD UNBELIEVEABLE the waitress told us 16 strips of bacon on that bad boy , We tasted the chili and it was really good as well , Kelly got the Fat Timmy 12oz burger with a fried egg and chz it looked great he said the best burger in town by far ! Thanks for the the tip

Hey guys went to Eastside chili the other day , dont know what happened but the sandwiches have like went to pot
They look like half of what they used to be , The chili was still good though! AJ got a bowl of bean soup and said it was awfull nothing like he has had in the past , and the rueben was definetly different not as good , Don't know what happened there but they better fix it , will give it another try though to be fair maybe was an off Day .

          I went to my "local" Izzy's yesterday - 7625 Beechmont Ave Cincinnati , OH 45255 (513) 231-5550 - and had a couple of Reuben-ators (Double Ruben's) and I think Izzy's is still the best.

I get mine made with extra Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing, grilled, and think they're just awesome! My favorite sandwich makers are Russel and Amy, but I was training Andrew yesterday and he did well. (Russel and Amy understand it's the proportions that matter, not just how big it is!)

The code word I hear to use for the excessive amount of Thousand Island dressing I prefer to ask for it to be made "sloppy". ^L^

Of just tell them "Thomas" sent you, the guy that like to pop in from time to time and pop down a couple of Reuben-ators, and they'll know what to do!

Well, then don't tell Blue Ash Chili either, because their sandwiches (and Rubens!) are pretty darn good too! ^L^

Hey, the double decker is as ubiquitous as Cincinnati chili. When a place does both well, we all win for it.

A chili parlor that serves Ruebens!?! That HAS to violate a state law at the very least!
