My husband is heading for Toronto in a couple of weeks and would really like to have some Trinidadian doubles. Can anyone recommend a good place?

Definitely Drupati's. Here's a link for you, including pics:

Or Caribbean Roti Palace, on the west side of Bathurst just south of Bloor.

Drupati makes my favorite Roti in Toronto, but for Doubles ACR (Midland and Lawrence) are the best in the city IMO.

I love ARC. I guess it depends where the OP's husband is based. Drupatis is great too, but I live east of Toronto so Drupatis is off the beaten track for me.

Good point, if the OP is West then Drupati's will definitely be a good option. If all things are equal though I have always been an ACR guy before anywhere else in the GTA.

Hey, thanks for the responses! We'll be in Scarborough, so we'll try ACR first but he'll definitely want to check out every place he can. It's good to know there's decent doubles to be had in every part of the city.

Haven't been in a while but this place had excellent doubles, and aloo pie (kinda like doubles) call to make sure though.

Roti Hut - good doubles, best roti in GTA in my opinion.

              Hi Kids!
I second ACR for great doubles and make sure you try a saheena - both 'with pepper', of course! (ACR is a tiny shop at 1st light east of Midland, North side of Lawrence). Note that they are paper-wrapped and tent to be a little steamy, rather than super-crisp.

If that's a put-off for you, then also try the Roti place on Pitfield, just north of the 401 & McCowan also in Scarberia. They come 2nd to ACR for me, but are made fresh and arrive crisp, yet airy, and are better than Mona's in this guy's opinion.

Are there any other good sources for doubles in the GTA that are located near the airport and/or Albion Rd, besides Drupati's?

There's another roti place in the same strip mall as Drupati, and another one in a strip mall just west of Islington. I don't know their names or whether they serve doubles as well as roti, but it's certainly a possibility.

Lena's at Albion and Islington. Doubles are pretty decent there.

My favorite is Carribean Bistro at Yonge and Eglinton. Admittedly , I havent had Drupatis but I do Like CB over other choices available downtown.

I like Ali's in Parkdale. Hot and filling.
