Brampton on a Saturday Night...Where to Eat?

I am looking for an old "stand by"...family run.."you have to eat here" kind of place.

Well, I guess it depends on what you are looking for as selection is a bit iffy. Brampton has a bunch of good to very good Italian restaurants.
Downtown: Fanzorelli's, Trios & Vesuvios all offer good food and decent atmosphere. La Capannina is there as well but I've found it's dropped off a bit.

Osso Buco at Bovaird & 10 also has great Italian

Magnums bar/pub at McMurchy & Nelson has great food, varied menu & live music

Can't recommend anywhere for a good steak. The Keg is about it.

Pho Peter at Kennedy & Church for good to great Vietnamese

Antica Osteria on Mayfield is also good Italian

Terrace on the Green is upscale and has a nice dining room.

A "+1" for Osso Buco and Antico Osteria. I prefer to former on just about all fronts. I find the Keg just simply too busy and loud on a Saturday night.

If you like meat, and BBQ, there is RD's at Kennedy/Church, and if you're in the mood for Indian, Brampton Tandoori at Kennedy/Queen is good - both are family run, good at what they do, but don't go for the ambience, there is none.
