Searching for good restaurants (not touristy places) in Florence and Venice

Staying near the Duomo in Florence and near St. Mark's Square in Venice. Any suggestions-I don't need great atmosphere but rather good decent food and would prefer places where the natives of the City eat.

PLEASE be sure to go to the upper right hand corner of this page and do searches for both cities. You will find dozens and dozens discussions about and suggestions for dining in each city. Also look at the topics listed below. Along with Rome, Florence & Venice are the most talked about places in Italy on this chat board.

Or, if you just look below here, you will see links to a number of potentially relevant discussions. In Venice, you should aim to get away from Piazza San marco if you want to eat at places locals patronize.
