Restaurants in Portsmouth NH
Hello, We are coming up to stay at the Wentworth by the Sea Inn for three nights. We have reservations at the "Green Monkey" restaurant which I LOVE for my birthday. Last time we came in the middle of the winter, we couldn't find many restaurants open. Any other suggestions for dinner and lunch ? Any we don't mind middle of the road expensive etc etc. Anything but chinese food. We may or may not eat at the Inn one night. Most likely breakfast also. Thanks! Carolann I forgot to mention, the issue was trying to find a decent restaurant on a Sunday night....Thanks!

If you like pizza, you should try the Flatbread Pizza Company on Congress Street in Portsmouth. They have a wood fired oven and make organic pizzas. The food is really good there and it's not too pricey. My wife and I really enjoy the pizzas there,

My husband has decided the best lobster rolls in NH are at Petey's in Rye. It's an old-fashioned, casual family style place but they do have a bar. They are open all year. I enjoyed fried clams and scallops on our last visit. DH insisted on getting an order of onion rings which was probably enough for a family of 8. We arrived early, maybe 4:30 and by the time we left, people were arriving. Suspect they get busy early all the time. This might be a good place if you want steamed lobster which we could see other people were having. Nothing fancy here.
