Are you making a specialty food?

EL Dorado in Monmoth Junction has the best TEX MEX BRUNCH in NJ..They recently revamped the whole place/menu after they hired a new chef and the place truly rocks..I used to go there very often for their drinks but their food was pretty average..I recently went there and noticed a whole lot of changes including their menus, food, presentation and ofcourse service..This has become my new favorite place to hang out.Their calamari and jalapeno poppers were simply divine and the best I have ever had..

Thanks eM for the link. browsed the gallery and there's lots of photos of NJ's beautiful people drinking and assorted Mexican themed bric a brac and decor but conspicuously missing are folks dining on actual food.I would like to have a decent Mexican place close by but am a little wary of a glowing review of essentially bar food by a first time poster. Have you eaten here and how is the food?

Have not eaten there, just looked up and posted the link. Given that I live only 10 or 15 minutes from Red Bank and Long Branch puts me in close proximity to many Tex-Mex, Cal-Mex and Mex-Mex places. No need to travel nearly an hour for my Mex fix...

Just curious =M, which places do you consider Cal-Mex and Tex-Mex and which are your favorites?
