Grabbing dinner with a co-worker before a flight. Any recs on a good spot (we'll be on expense account)? Open to any cuisine!

Not an expense account type of place, but pure comfort and reliable: Fiddler's Green in Millbrae. Easy access to airport, they pour a mean Guinness, have all the usual pub suspects with a few upscale addiitons (lamb chops are great). Owners and their family couldn't be nicer.

I've only been in Burlingame about a year, so I'm no expert, but if I had to eat in Burlingame and someone else was paying, I'd probably go to Stella Alpina Osteria. Other options are Ecco or Zambra (tapas). Maybe Kabul (Afghan). I haven't tried Il Farro yet (it's new), but it might fit the bill.

These are all in the Burlingame Ave area, which is the southern end of Burlingame. I'm less familiar with the Broadway area, which would be a bit closer to the airport.

Asian: Zen Peninsula, and order well, get a crab or one of the big custom fish.

Asian Pearl is 5 minutes from the airport. Great Chinese.

I like Mingalaba in Burlingame, but no reservations, so best if you're not in a hurry.
