Breakfast in Amsterdam?

famke Jan 29, 2012 04:56 PM

We are staying at a Hotel Pulitzer on Prinsengracht. However we don't want to eat breakfast at the hotel (we got the hotel on 'Airmiles', and we don't think we can afford to pay hotel breakfast prices). Does anyone have suggestions on what we can do for a cheaper breakfast, somewhere not to far from the hotel. Even just to be able to sit somewhere and get koffie en gebakje to start the day?
Thanks in advance!

    Hi Famke,

There are many options close to the Pulitzer.

For something hearty you could try Gartine on Taksteeg or Greenwood's on the Singel. For details see http://www.dutchgrub.com/best-brunch-in-amsterdam/

For a quick coffee and snack you could head to Bagels & Beans on Raadhuisstraat or The Coffee Company on Berenstraat.

There are also numerous bakeries nearby that often also serve coffee. For example try Année at Runstraat.
