Outdoor lunch for Saturday?

Next Saturday is my birthday (yay!) and I am looking for a place in Miami we can go get a nice lunch and sit outside (weather permitting). I would prefer not to eat on Lincoln Road (personal preference). If i happen to be able to bring my dog along, thats a bonus, but good food=#1! I am an adventurous eater so really anything goes, as long as its delicious and fun.

has anyone ever been to mercadito? i dont know if ive ever seen it mentioned on these boards, but a friend told me earlier today that its one of her favorites:

I've been to Mercadito several times (though not recently) and just can't get too excited over it. My favorite thing there are the baja style fish tacos, which are excellent, but it drives me crazy that they only sell the tacos 4 to an order and do not allow you to mix and match. (If you go to the casual "taqueria" in front you can order tacos "by the piece," but they don't have the fried fish ones there and what I have had from there is only OK). The food is generally decent or better but nothing has really blown me away other than the cocktails, which are excellent.
