1st time to Vegas
We are planning our 1st trip to Vegas in late March. Group includes a few twentysomethings and a few fiftysomethings (the parents). We are on a budget. Is there any fun dining spots that have some form of entertainment? Like Greek dining with belly dancers and flaming cheese? Any thoughts on Nora Cuisine or Casa di Amore?
Going to Vegas this week with my brother. We love food high and low, and knowing us will be eating our faces off! I would be glad to give a run down on what we do.
Right now I'm looking at
Sage vs Charlie Plamers
Tacos el gordos VS four kegs
Raku VS Lotus of Siam
and the buffet at the Cosmo sounds like the one to beat.
Let you know how it all went down.
Obviously a lot depends on your definition of fun. If a nice view matters more than food to you, the steakhouse at Harrahs has a view of the strip and you can see the volcano at the Mirage erupt every 20 minutes. There are several eateries in the Grand Canal shops (the mall at the Venetian) - along the canal you can watch the gondolas and hear them sing. Or you could eat at Postrios(Wolfgang Puck) in St Marks Square and people watch and watch the living statues not move. If you specifically want some kind of "show" while you eat - I think they still do Circus acts at the Circus Circus and the Rio has some kind of carnival floats in the sky. The basic trouble is that most of these visually entertaining places are either not particularly good for food or are expensive.
