Spiced Braised Duck with Rigatoni --- anywhere?

I heard of somewhere serving this dish before, but not in LA.

But it sure sounds good. And that's I believe the menu description of it.

Anything in LA that would approximate that?

Thanks.

I'd be willing to bet that if you booked a table at Valentino in Santa Monica, and requested a tasting menu with "your dish" included among the nights delectable creations, that Chef Nicola Chessa would be able to get the job done for you. Just as an example, here is a photo from our very own CH LA board contributor "lizziee" of a somewhat similar dish (pumpkin pappardelle with braised pigeon ragu) from Chef Nico: http://lizziee.files.wordpress.com/20...

You know what? That's a great idea, I didn't really think it existed otherwise.

La Bruschetta will make a pasta in duck ragu. Not always on the menu but they will make it for you if you call ahead.

A little different than what you are looking for but a wonderful dish is Scarpetta's PANCETTA SPICED DUCK BREAST with butternut squash, fairview farm’s baby purple kale, pancetta, hen of the wood mushrooms & pomegranate, Just order a side of rigatoni.
