When we go to the Palm for lunch, we order a regular burger and sub the cheddar for blue cheese. It's fantastic.

Barney's Gourmet Burgers in Brentwood is super-fab. French burger includes a mound of blue cheese, plus bacon. It's like dying (of a coronary) and going to burger heaven.

It's more pedestrian than some of the worthy suggestions on this thread, but Islands makes a thoroughly creditable "Bluenami Burger" with "Bleu cheese dressing, lettuce, tomato, red onion & crumbled bleu cheese." Add some bacon and it's darned good.

Caveat: On our last visit to Islands a couple of weeks ago, we noted that the prices seemed to have increased notably. Portions were still big and the food was still fine (for what it is) but it's a bit less of a bargain than it was--that Bluenami Burger with Bacon will probably run close to 9-10 bucks now.

Excellent blue cheese burgers at Moustache Cafe on Melrose and La Cienega. They are served as a pair, and they explode with blue cheese goodness. Sit outside on the patio.

At 25 Degrees in Hollywood, you can choose any of about a dozen excellent cheeses. I think the blue is Iowa Maytag, although I don't recall exactly.

Their #1 burger has it on it along with carmelized onions and some other stuff and it's awesome!

any of the burgers at 25 degrees are really excellent, these might just be the best in a diner in la at the current moment. not cheap but not ridiculous if yo're careful with the toppings.

i like mine with the carmelized onions and cheddar cheese and avocado.

fries are not so great. and the chocolate cake is a behemothonic abomination of sorts.

I'm pretty sure PETE'S CAFE in downtown will substitute the fontina for bleu cheese in their Hellman Burger. Call and ask (see link)

4got about pete's! i don't see why they won't substitute. they have all that blue cheese for their blue cheese fries.

probasbly because it might be overkill to have blue cheese fries with a blue cheese burger, but then again what do i know?

not really stuffed. just blue cheese in place of the usual yellow-orange stuff. any place east of father's office? downtown or pasadena?
