Lunch for 40 after Bob Baker Marionettes show downtown?

A senior group will be taking a chartered bus to attend a performance of "Fiesta" at the Bob Baker Marionettes theater just west of the downtown area on Temple. Since the theme of the show has a Mexican flavor, we would like to continue that with lunch at a nearby restaurant that can accommodate 40-45 people -- either Mexican, Argentine, etc. Any recommendations? Preferably a restaurant where a meal would be under $15 per person.

Might want to try El Compadre in Echo Park. Should have enough seats and fit the Mexican theme. If you'd like something right near the theatre you should try Ti Georges right up the block on Glendale - though I'd suggest calling ahead and trying to book the whole place. Might not be able to fit many more than forty in that restaurant.

Not quite sure about that price point, but La Parrilla at 1300 Wilshire (across from Good Samaritan Hospital) leaps to mind.

Or, La Golondrina on Olvera Street.

Or even the Grand Central Market, where you'd certainly meet the price, although that would be more in the nature of an adventure than a sit-down meal.
