Romantic dinner for wedding anniversary

Looking for a nice romantic restaurant (good views of city, nice ambiance, great food!). We are staying at ink48, something in that area would be nice but not necessary.

It gets mixed reviews here. I had a very pleasant dinner there last year, others prefer the front room, neither is particularly well suited for a "nice romantic" dinner for a wedding anniversary where "budget is no problem" and "good views of [the] city" are required, as it has no view and is not particularly romantic. Per Se is really the only place I can think of that fits that bill (others might suggest River Cafe, which has a view that outpaces its food). If you are willing to forgo the view , Le Bernardin, EMP, Jean Georges (romance limited to the outcove table), Corton, and The Modern (nice view, but not of the city), would all be better choices, in my opinion.

Re: Jean Georges. I think you are referring to the table for two in the alcove where a couple can sit cozily cocooned side-by-side. There are two of these, one on either side of the dining room. The first time we went to J.G., we were seated in one (not by request since I didn't know then that they existed).

Precisely (though I hadn't realized that there were two until now . . . the tribulations of always giving soon-to-be-mrsnmp the "good" seat, i guess)

To add onto nmprisons' excellent observations, while I do like Gramercy Tavern, I find the "upscale farmhouse" decor there to feel a little dated.

Per Se. Make the reservation today. Their reservation book just opened for Feb 25. Explain to them you're celebrating your anniversary and request for a table by the window for the view.

That is what I would do. Though I would consider EMP and Le Bernardin as well, depending on the type of atmosphere I was looking for that evening.
