Will you be at St Mary's Hospital, or the downtown clinic/Methodist Hospital (or which hotel you are staying at)? That might make a difference on what is within walkable distance. In summer time, it's about a 10-15min walk between downtown and St Mary's, but you probably won't want to walk in Feb. Would you have a car also?

I have been several times for visits at the mayo and also would agree dinning choices are a little different in summer or nice days vs I think the call it winter but i have several other names for the cold up there!!! Anyway if you staying at one of the connected hotels you can always make your way over to Chesters and not be in the cold might be a bit of a walk but we like it. Its more of a chain type but good. Pescar is good as well and we had a good meal or 2 at city cafe. Let me know if you have any questions we also will be up in Feb...
