What is the type of food here?

Sorry, I've been quite out of the loop on this one for some time.

  1. Great steamed clams and good pizza. It is very small and they do not take reservations though. It's owned by the team behind Rustic Canyon and Huclkleberry. The dessert is amazing!

      Best Pizza on the Westside. I love their HOUSE MADE PORK BELLY SAUSAGE pizza with braised greens, tomato & fresh mozzarella. Also their BUTTERNUT SQUASH pizza with fresh mozzarella, caramelized onion, sage, brown butter, & farm egg .

          I like their MAPLE WALNUT STICKY BUNS. They are open till 11pm daily.

    2. excellent pizzas...theyre open from early am, breakfast,baked goods to 11pm? very good salads, very good bread.

        Lunch/dinner service begins at 11AM. No pizzas before 11. Breakfast from 7:00-11:00

            I'd been to Milo and Olive a couple of times, great place, great food. It is small, and it gets very busy, prepare to wait. Worth the wait? Yes! ~
            If you like garlic, their garlic knot it's a must.

              Went in today and ordered 2 pizzas to go. The anchovy, olive, (Fantastic) and the wild mushroom (always Fantastic). They are now stamping reheating instructions on the boxes, which is very helpful. The directions for each pizza was different, so it is not a "one size fits all." These people want you to reheat it right. They turned out great. Each one took about 6 minutes. However, the oven temps were a bit different. Did have a slice of a deliciously tart lemon meringue pie for dessert. Wonderful meal!

        1. It's offical. From todays LA Eater Milo and Olive is taking the space next door. Yes! The plan is to double seating (and add additional table options other than the current bar/communals), build another pizza oven, and expand chef Erin Eastland's menu overall, should be ready by early October.

                I'm going to Miss it. But then again if I happen to run into and rub shoulders with Kat o Dell that will be all for the better. :)

                    They will not be closing during the add on at the moment.

                      I guess I was referring more to the rapid turnover of waitstaff there. Everytime I go in (which admittedly isn't super often), I feel like 50-100% of the staff has changed. I kind of like seeing familiar faces at my favorite eateries. =(

                        The joints with career waitstaffs are decidedly few and far between.

                        Sad to say. No joke.

                2. Good news about M&O expanding into the next door space. That might mean we will actually go and eat in sometime, rather than doing take out only.

                      For those who want to eat in and have their pizza fresh and hot vs those who take it home and try to recreate what was, and will never be again...or not.

                        Agree 100% - reheated pizza sucks: wait till tomorrow and then enjoy it cold.

                        I meant that it may be worse for the people who are already putting up with M+O's cramped quarters when they expand, allowing the likes of YOU in there.

                      But I've got to say, if it's the same set up and uncomfortable furniture, it's a no go for me....

                    3. The remodel is done, the restaurant is now almost twice as big and hopefully this will cut down on wait time!

                          Went there on Monday evening around 8-ish, and we were seated right away. Almost all of the tables were full, but there were a couple of seats available at the bar. They have some high tops, too.

                          I would not call the rafters "gorgeous." Not in the least.

                          Food was great, as always.
