Recommendations for Restaurants for Hot Pots and Shabu Shabu?

I am a big fan of hot pots and shabu shabu. There used to be an excellent place on the corner of Keeaumoku and King which has long time closed for shabu shabu. Can you guys recommend me some places? My husband can eat alot and the all-you-can-eat is appreceiated too.

If you are looking for all you can eat shabu shabu, you can take a look at either Sushi Bistro Shun or Shillawon I think. Last I checked they still had AYCE.

Ichiriki and Imana's Tei are both solid picks. I'd also look at Hot Pot Heaven, Restaurant Suntory and Sweet Home Cafe.

Imana's Tei on King Street next to Puck's Alley. A popular izakaya serving sushi, shabu shabu and chanko nabe. Their chanko nabe (sumo wrestlers stew) is excellent. Beef, chicken, seafood, tofu and vegetables cooked tableside. Save room for the zoosui, which is rice cooked in the leftover chanko soup stock. With a raw egg beaten into it with green onions and nori, the resulting rice porridge is a great way to end the meal.

For shabu shabu my first rec would be Ichi Riki (sometimes one word, sometimes two), my friends with the greatest knowledge and appreciation of japanese food unknowingly agree that it is the best around.

Sweet Home Cafe gets the most consistently favorable reviews for the more casual hot pot style, more chiinese/taiwanese in flavor.
