lunch in dartmouth, nh

am taking my mother and meeting some of her friends in dartmouth, nh. looking for something nice and upscale.
canoe club or hanover inn or norwich inn?

i would recommend "salubre". it is in the hanover park building right next to the post office. it is under new management and they are now offering lunch. nice people and nice menu-i think you would like it.

I assume you mean near Dartmouth in Hanover NH? Out of the 3, I would probably choose the Canoe Club. The Canoe Club is 'upscale casual' with a New England preppy vibe. The menu is interesting, the food is well prepared and presented, the portions are modest. The room has lots of windows, and live music (usually light jazz or folk) every night. As Vter mentioned, Simon Pierce is very nice, but it's about 1/2 hour away from Dartmouth. I believe the Hanover Inn is closed for several months for renovations. The Norwich Inn is a nice old New England Inn that usually has good food. Go to UVfood.com for lots of options.

Hanover Inn or Norwich Inn are good options...but I would also throw in Simon Pearce in Quechee, VT (not too far) it's has a wonderful ambiance and the food is good and fresh. You might want to change your title to "Hanover, NH" rather than "Dartmouth, NH"....Dartmouth is just the college, not the town.

Hanover Inn isn't a good option at the moment, since the Inn is closed through ~May for renovations.

For in-town upscale lunch? Canoe Club is probably the best option.
