Cookie recipe or any recipe w/ nonfat yogurt?
I tried to make cookies w/ nonfat yogurt and they came out rubbery, much like chewing gum :) so I threw them out. I didn't use anything but flour, yogurt, one egg, sugar and zest from an orange and lime. And even though I used a little less than one cup of sugar, they actually came out sickly sweet tasting (?).
I also made an onion dip using yogurt instead of sour cream. I put additional herbs/spices to try to mask the yogurt flavor to no avail. The dip recipes I've read through that use a yogurt base still include lemon but I'm afraid it will make it way too sour. Will lemon juice help mask the yogurt flavor?
TIA

re: calmossimo
I second Ina Gartens lemon yogurt cake. I have made it before and it's really good.

Did you try Greek yogurt or regular yogurt for your onion dip? I've found that Greek yogurt is a good substitute for sour cream. It's really tangy and in my opinion, similar in taste to sour cream.

You will have much better success trying to make a tea bread or cake with yogurt, rather than cookies. It's impossible to tell why they came out too sweet without knowing the proportions of the recipe.
As for dip, since the yogurt remains relatively unadulterated, if you dislike the taste of yogurt I would think a baked good would do a better job at disguising the flavor.
